Druk Path Trek is considered to be one of the finest short treks in Bhutan which includes the ancient trading route over high mountain passes that connects the valleys of Paro and the Bhutanese capital, Thimpu. Passing through the trail of gorgeous Rhododendron Forest, Alpine Yak Pastures and mesmerizing lakes stacked with snowy mountain trouts.

The high grasses ridge with breath-taking view of Mountain Jumolhari urges a trekker to take out their camera and click hundreds of pictures. Clear mountain lakes are one of the main attractions which is filled with mountain trouts. We can also witness the yak herder’s camp that offers splendid views of Himalayas along with Bhutan – Tibet border. The final descent through pine and juniper forests via the Phadjoding Monastery leads to the capital of the country, Thimpu.

Day 4: Trek to Simkota Lake (4110m)
